Black History Month Presents-BLACK INSIDE

Too funny.

1-900-NERD-GIRL

This was so funny I had to add this!

Bonjou! Ca va mes amis? Well I hope. So everyone seems to be talking about a Raisin in the Sun. It was actually very good. Sean John or whatver the hell he calls himself now was excellent and Mme Rashad was brillant. All of the actors were good. I read the play once so it was cool to see it brought to life, I had never actually watched it performed. The one time I was going to I got board and changed the channel. So kudos to ABC for that one.

Aie mo Grand Met, the guy who is sitting next ot me stinks. See I start blogging and get interrupted by FUNK and not the good musical kind. Aie aie.... Oh well if I breath slowly I won't inhale his stench. God what the hell is that? Wet dogg. Well he is a beke (white person) and you know how they can stink sometimes.

I just got my haircut so I look pretty damn good not like a wild man that I did before. Trumph's birthday is fast approaching so we're going to go out dancing that night, it's what he wants to do and then I'm going to give him some money this upcoming week when I get paid. Ya''l know how it is this was the bill check. The weather in Seattle has been beautiful lately it is sunny and warm for Seattle at this time of year and I am loving it. The sun is making me feel a sense of lightness that I have missed and most certainly do welcome.

I've just been chilling enjoying life. You know just getting thru the daily grind and such. Sometimes life is like that domestic bliss which is slightly boring. Trumph has been as bit snippy as of late but things seem to be turning around a bit for him. All in all home life is well, work life is well, I don't have neough money but that always seems to be the case. I blame the economy and the falling strength of the dollar.

I have been thinking about my vacation and I think I really want to visit NYC. I have not been there as an adult and my friend Cliff is saying he can get Trumph, Mike (his BF, himself, and myself a room for like 25 bucks a nt, and a nice one a that. I want to go. I think it would be fun. Or Florida. For some reason I just want to go to Florida. Be in the sun, rest by the sea.

So Part my post today has to deal with Sharks! AHHHH! Yes sharks. Those intelligent, fascinating, and at times dangerous predators of the deep.

Man dies after shark attack off Florida By BRIAN SKOLOFF, Associated Press Writer
Mon Feb 25, 11:20 PM ET

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - An Austrian tourist died Monday after being bitten by a shark while diving near the Bahamas in waters that had been baited with bloody fish parts to attract the predators.

Markus Groh, 49, a Vienna lawyer and diving enthusiast, was on a commercial dive trip Sunday when he was bitten about 50 miles off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, said Karlick Arthur, Austrian counsel general in Miami.

Groh was in the open water without a cage or similar protection.

The crew aboard the Shear Water, of Riviera Beach-based Scuba Adventures, immediately called the U.S. Coast Guard, which received a mayday from the vessel, said Petty Officer 3rd Class Nick Ameen.

Groh was airlifted to a hospital, where he died. Groh was bitten on the leg, Ameen said, but he could not be more specific about the extent of his injuries.

It was unclear what type of shark was involved in the attack. The shark got away before anyone could identify the species.

The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner's Office declined to comment, citing an ongoing investigation by the Miami-Dade Police Department. A telephone message left for police was not immediately returned.

A woman who answered the telephone at Scuba Adventures on Monday said the company had no comment.

The company's Web site says it offers the opportunity to get "face to face" with sharks. The site explains that its hammerhead and tiger shark expeditions in the Bahamas are "unique shark trips ... run exclusively for shark enthusiasts and photographers."

To ensure "the best results we will be 'chumming' the water with fish and fish parts," the Web site explains. "Consequently, there will be food in the water at the same time as the divers. Please be aware that these are not 'cage' dives, they are open water experiences."

Now I have some issues with this. First all of what the hell? You see not all sharks attack people or a re dangerous to humans however there are definitely some species that are. Great Whites, Tiger sharks, Lemon Sharks, Mako Sharks (which can swim at speeds of 90 mph), Hammerheads, and Bull Sharks definately do and have killed humans. Now most of the time a person dies from being bitten by the shark as opposed to being eaten. Most sharks don't like the taste of human flesh ( there are exceptions, Bull Sharks will actively hunt humans as prey, and there have been cases where sharks will eat people if habituated to a human food source, ie our African Ancestors being thrown overboard from slave ships which sharks would allows follow.) however the one bite is all it takes. The tooth of sharks is like a thousand edged razor designed to grips, tear, dice, and slice flesh with precision.

That's what happened to old boy from Osterreich (Austria), he was bitten and the bite cut clean through his veins and he bled out to death. However it is not the sharks fault. This was a provoked attack, and I'm putting this up here to let y'all know the difference. We all know that sharks are attracted to the smell of blood. They can smell it at least 20 -50 miles away. So if someone is chumming the water you should not be swimming in it. Now this Austrian was hand feeding this shark in the water, in chummed water and the shark got excited, went for the fish and bit the Guy. Opps the shark's bad, but hey the guy was in the sharks house, not in my opinion respecting the shark so he got what was coming.

So here are some ways to keep yourself safe from sharks.

1. Avoid swimming in murky or cloudy water as it is in these environments sharks will hunt. Also avoid swimming at night or dawn, another time when sharks are active. Sharks hunt not only by smell and sight but by bio electrical impulses which all living things make and sound. You know what swimming humans sound like to sharks. A wounded_____ you fill in the blank, put fish, seal, sea lion, sea turtle, or even dolphin calf but that is what we sound like and a hungry shark will investigate, will maybe bump you first or just lunge and take a bite.

2. Avoid swimming with cuts or bruises that are open. Blood in the water attracts who? Right sharks. Good.

3. Avoid swimming in areas where seals or sea lions live. So many people have been killed especially by Great Whites because they want to swim with the seals or the sea lions. OR surf near them. Which might sound cute but it is very dangerous. Sharks hunt in these same places and sharks ambush from below. Meaning they strike upwards in a powerful lunge teeth at the ready. A swimming human or worse a human on a surfboard has the same outline in the water as a seal or sea lion well the Great White will find out to late your not one only after it's mangled your body. Too late for you at least.

4. Finally use common sense. Do not ever underestimate wild animals whether on land or sea. They are wild and they will respond to certain things with aggression, things that we may not mean as humans to be threatening. And for the love of God don't go swimming with sharks in chummed water unless your in a cage. Trust me, you will thank me when you're still breathing after such an experience.

Well that's all guyz.

Adieu.

Bonjou. Just chilling loggin listening to the music Frank Leon Roberts has on his revamped Can We Be Frank Page. I gotta give it the nigga much kudos, the page is lick, smooth and quite eye cahtching. And the msuci selections aint bad neither. So hopefully all of you in blogland are aiight. I'm doing pretty good. Feeling good, and loving life.

Si hier, I ran into Cliff on the Hill, and accompanied him as he did his vintage shopping. I finally saw here he goes to get all those bad assed hats he be wearin' and I told hey nigga now that you done showed me wassup don'get madd if ya boi bites a couple hats from yo' ass. He just laughed. We walked through the park and just enjoyed the sunny, lovely day. Then we ran into a new person that I have met in this Seattle Ciricle named Patrick we were supposed to help him move a couch but it didn't work out right all the way. It's a long story suffice to say I didn't have to do nan lifting.

Had a pleasant evening with Trumph watching ANTM and jus chillin' with my baby. Which was cookl even though Cliff and Mike were supposed to come by and let us watch that American Gangster Film but n'importe quoi (whatever) I'll rent it soon I'm sure. All in all though yesterday was a pleasant day.

So I looked at the new blog I added yesterday. There was a very distressing video on it of a male to female transgendered woman in the hands of Basra Police Force. She was basically humiliated and then who knows, he looked aboslutely terrified. Oh this world we live in with it's violence and cruelty. Aie aie aie.... Sometimes I just wanna scream to everyone stop this madnesss....

The world we live in for all it's worth is still beautiful... There is always hope even in the face of such evil and strife. So on a hppier note I am so awaiting summer. ASpring to well hell I just can't wait for the sun to come back and to just be warm. Sunlight sunlight is what I want. I'm trying to kick around the idea of us all going in a camper and heading out to Port Townsend for a couple days during the summer. It was so lovely when Trumph and I went last year. Otr a big cookout just something.

Finally the most happy news Nkosi Obama is trounching Hilary and that makes me smile.

Da Questions Dag Da Questions:

1. Is is just me or do men become more enticing looking when you are in a relationship? It's like they are super temptation strength or something.

2. Why does it seem like everyone is having babies lately? What the hell is in the water?

3. Why is Janet's song kick ass but her video sucks ass?

4. What gender was Robin Antin the creator of the Pussy Cat Dolls born as cause I swear that is a man!?

5. Speaking of them why the hell would you call a group Girlicious? Sounds like a candy for sluts.

6. What the fukk did kanye West have on during the grammys? What was that a majorette hoodie?

7. How many times do I have to tell the people at work that I don't speak Spanish dammit I speak French?!

Fianlly,

I want all of you to have a gret day and rest of the week and to be blessed. PAIX!!!

There is so much to say and always so little time for me anyways in which to say it. Bonjour vas tous! Hopefully all of you in Blogland are well, at least from reading your posts I see that you are. I am good. Infact I am quite happy. Trumph ahs thrown off the lazieness and as a fact he looking more attractive to me now for that. Merci le Bon Dieu pou ca!

He got up this morning for an interview all dapper looking and such and he ahs been cleaning up the house, it was almost a new place last night hwen I stumbled home from work. Mo konne super cool ouais? Ben sur ouais. So I am extremely happy. I didn't have to nagg h9m either I just told him how I felt. Who says communication in relationships is passe? Well I got news for you those folkz are wrong.

We had Bumpalump this weekend and it was nice. He was really good. We sang and played, and basically had a nice time with our lil cousin. He is starting to speak more and more and more, more clarity in hos words, and he is just a crack up. We're driving along to Arbys and No One comes on, you know the song by Alicia Keys. And who do I hear sining the chorus? Ouais c'etait Bumpalump. Bless his little heart it was sooo cute. And then at that one part he's like Uh-oh-oh-oh-oh! I loved it. Trumph was like:

"Aww ywah baby he sings tyhat all the time when we're together cause it's on the radio so much." I'd never heard him sing it and it was a highlight of his visit. Here's some new photos of my Bumpalump and all of his cuteness.

Also I found a news story I'd like to share with you guys and I will be adding the corresponding link to my page. You know me, I want all of you to know about our people in and outside of Mama Afrika, so here ya go. Be sure to check out the page if only to get a more global and Pan African Perspective. Trust me you will find it interesting.

Gay Africans and Arabs come out online By Andrew Heavens

KHARTOUM (Reuters) - When Ali started blogging that he was Sudanese and gay, he did not realize he was joining a band of African and Middle Eastern gays and lesbians who, in the face of hostility and repression, have come out online.

But within days the messages started coming in to black-gay-arab.blogspot.com.

"Keep up the good work," wrote Dubai-based Weblogger 'Gay by nature'. "Be proud and blog the way you like," wrote Kuwait's gayboyweekly. Close behind came comments, posts and links purporting to be from almost half the countries in the Arab League, including Egypt, Algeria, Bahrain and Morocco.

Ali, who lists his home town as Khartoum but lives in Qatar, had plugged into a small, self-supporting network of people who have launched Web sites about their sexuality, while keeping their full identity secret. Caution is crucial - homosexual acts are illegal in most countries in Africa and the Middle East, with penalties ranging from long-term imprisonment to execution.

"The whole idea started as a diary. I wanted to write what's on my mind and mainly about homosexuality," he told Reuters in an e-mail. "To tell you the truth, I didn't expect this much response."

In the current climate, bloggers say they are achieving a lot just by stating their nationality and sexual orientation.

"If you haven't heard or seen any gays in Sudan then allow me to tell you 'You Don't live In The Real World then,"' Ali wrote in a message to other Sudanese bloggers. "I'm Sudanese and Proud Gay Also."

His feelings were echoed in a mini-manifesto at the start of the blog "Rants and raves of a Kenyan gay man" that stated: "The Kenyan gay man is a myth and you may never meet one in your lifetime. However, I and many others like me do exist; just not openly. This blog was created to allow access to the psyche of me, who represents the thousands of us who are unrepresented."

NEWS AND ABUSE

That limited form of coming out has earned the bloggers abuse or criticism via their blogs' comment pages or e-mails.

"Faggot queen," wrote a commentator called 'blake' on Kenya's 'Rants and raves'. "I will put my loathing for you faggots aside momentarily, due to the suffering caused by the political situation," referring to the country's post-election violence.

Some are more measured: "The fact that you are a gay Sudanese and proudly posting about it in itself is just not natural," a reader called 'sudani' posted on Ali's blog.

Some of the bloggers use the diary-style format to share the ups and downs of gay life -- the dilemma of whether to come out to friends and relatives, the risks of meeting in known gay bars, or, according to blogger "...and then God created Men!" the joys of the Egyptian resort town Sharm el-Sheikh.

Others have turned their blogs into news outlets, focusing on reports of persecution in their region and beyond.

The blog GayUganda reported on the arrests of gay men in Senegal in February. A month earlier, Blackgayarab posted video footage of alleged police harassment in Iraq.

Kenya's "Rants and Raves" reported that gay people were targets in the country's election violence, while blogger Gukira focused on claims that boys had been raped during riots. Afriboy organized an auction of his erotic art to raise funds "to help my community in Kenya."

There was also widespread debate on the comments made by Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last September about homosexuals in his country.

The total number of gay bloggers in the region is still relatively small, say the few Web sites that monitor the scene.

"It is the rare soul who is willing to go up against such blind and violent ignorance and advocate for gay rights and respect," said Richard Ammon of GlobalGayz.com which tracks gay news and Web sites throughout the world.

"There are a number of people from the community who are blogging both from Africa and the diaspora but it is still quite sporadic," said Nigerian blogger Sokari Ekine who keeps a directory of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender blogs on her own Web site Black Looks.

WAYS TO MEET

The overall coverage may be erratic, but pockets of gay blogging activity are starting to emerge.

There are blogs bridging the Arabic-speaking world from Morocco in the west to the United Arab Emirates in the east. There is a self-sustaining circle of gay bloggers in Kenya and Uganda together with a handful of sites put up by gay Nigerians.

And then there is South Africa, where the constitutional recognition of gay rights has encouraged many bloggers to come wholly into the open.

"I don't preserve my anonymity at all. I am embracing our constitution which gives us the right to freedom of speech ... There is nothing wrong that I am doing," said Matuba Mahlatjie of the blog My Haven.

Beyond the blogging scene, the Internet's chat rooms and community sites have also become one of the safest ways for gay Africans and Arabs to meet, away from the gaze of a hostile society.

"That is what I did at first, I mean, I looked around for others until I found others," said Gug, the writer behind the blog GayUganda.

"Oh yes, I do love the Internet, and I guess it is a tool that has made us gay Ugandans and Africans get out of our villages and realize that the parish priest's homophobia is not universal opinion. Surprise, surprise!"

(Editing by Andrew Dobbie and Sara Ledwith)

Tres bien huh? Yeah I think so. See it's important to know that we are not some abberation in this time and space in the history of our people. We've always been in Africa and outside of her borders as well before, during, and of course after the nightmare of Slavery. Remember all of you that you have a place at the table and in the struggle of our people. I know it may seem like I'm preaching to choir but every now and then some of us need to be reminded of that fact.

Today is sunny and warmer than it has been. I smell printemps (spring) in the air and I can't wait. Perhaps that's why I feel so good toady. I've been seeing more sun lately.

So I got some music to recommend.

I just bought Lupe Fiasco and I like him, I like him alot. Infact I like him better than Kanye West. He has better beats, none of the arrogance and temper tantrums, and he talks about some real shit. SO too does this Rap Duo I picked up called Little Brother. THey actually are tight. They also are on some of the real shit tip and I feel them. Great beats as welll check them out. By the way I loved Dirty Landry, the movie had Trumph and I crying with laughter. The acting was great and the sory was excellent. Mr. Jamal you have outdone yourself but you know that already with all the awards you have and such from the film. I can't wait to see what he does next.

Trumph's Bday is coming up and he told me he doesn't want a party which is kool cause I din't really want to plan one but we will still have fun. I got some stuff planned for baby. Valentine's Day was a bust. We didn't really have any money, nor did we feel like being all lovey doveyt that week. Still it was nice to spend the day with him. Hey you know love aint all roses like Mary says but it is still wonderous just the same. I have no plans today but who knows maybe something exciting will happen. Pray that Trumph gets that job. Well I pray all of you are well and blessed. Havea great week and show love to those who need it. Which is everyone. Duh. LOL!

Au revoir mes zamis....

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Bonjou mes zamis? Sak passe? Bien I hope I been doing well. Trumph has been behaving himself as have I and well things are bon encore. Today we are watching Bumpalump but I was able to slip out for a moment. Mes dexu hommes pauvres sont malade aujourd'hui, pauvres choses. Whoa. Sorry that was alot of French, my bad. I said my 2 men are sick today poor things. Bumpalump has some stomach virus that he is getting over and all he can eat is white foods. Pasta, bread, and water. That's it' And you know my pitit loves to eat. Still mostly he chilled with us this morning. He and I watched Happy Feet. Of course the movie was cute and Bumpalump tried to dance like Mumble. And well I ended up getting Boggie Wonderland stuck in my head. I'm all walking about singing:

"Midnight comes to hearts and then a penguin uh-uh it don' work..." I know silly right. Well when a child is in your life you are allowed. Bumpalump keeps me sane and young and full of joy so it's all good. I got us some more DVDs to watch too for Trumph and me. I'm finally going to see Dirty Laundry...What I'm late. Whatever unlike many of you in Blogland I don't live on the East Coast or Atalanta or LA where there a millions of Black Gay Men in somewhat solid communities. I'm in Seattle with our few thousand remember. Okay good. So hoepfully though the movie will be good I mean I adore Ski Trip. Maurice Jamal is very good I'd like to meet him someday. He's kinda cute too.

Oh but wait so this weekend I rented Zvart Boek. That's Dutch for Black Book. Ohhhh good movie you have got to check that out. A Jewish hottie in the Netherlands during the last year of the war fighting for survival, the Dutch Resistance, gun battles, intrigue, lots of sex, mystery, this movie is unlike any WWII movie you have ever seen. Check it out. It's in Dutch, German. English, and Hebrew but who care half of you need to expand your horizons and watch foreign films anyways. The only thing bad about foreign films for me is that I start thinking in French or I listen so intently to the language that I start to pick up stuff for a bit. Like I think I could learn Dtuch it can't be that hard and it is one of the languages of the African Diaspora. Oh please are you kidding me you've never heard of Dutch Creoles before? All the Black People that live in Suriname, and the Dtuch Islands in the Carribean...Okay good. Remember you Primary English Speakers of African Descent are not the majority of us all in the Diaspora. I mean more of us outside of Africa speak Portugese than anything else.

All in all though I'm well. Work is good and all of you in Blogland seem to be well. If anything I've been feeling in a serious scholarly mood lately. I've been following the events in Kenya, Chad and Darfur with extremely keen interest in addition to the progress of Obama our future Nkosi...Opps I mean president. Oh by the Nkosi is Zulu for king... But I mean don't you sometimes feel like that. I mean my God we are witnessing history mes zamis. and I'm sure for our parents if they are turlly honest for many of them this has been a most surreal elelction. I'm voting for him that for sure. It's just so exciting he is trully trouncing that Clinton Creature and I love it!!!! I do. I hope he wins.

Well regardez ca... I've run out of things to say. Be blessed all of you and show love...Adieu mes zamis...

Today is grey and cold. I'm blogging in the bibliotheque. Trumph's been kind of getting on my nerves and last night I turned him down for sex. The reason you may ask. Okay so...Aie aie this is kinda embarassing...Trumph and I used to flip flop. What you thought my dick was just to pee with? But for awhile now due to some injusry with a dildo he did...Trumph will not allow me to penetrate him. I like a tight ass, especially when the nigga has a big ass like Trumph and he won't let me plug him. He says it hurts him, I'm too big...Which aint as flattering as it sounds. SO I always have to be the bottom. But I feel more of a top with him...It's wierd, and it's like my sexual practices are so wrapped up in my psychology. Some men I will let top me, some men I only want to top me, some men I only want to top and would never bend over for...Trumph is one of those that can do both with but emphasis on the both. like I dunno sometimes I just don't want to sit on it or have it in me? This week has been a little stressful to so like I wasn't in to it. I know I'm such a bitch aint I?

Now this in no way means I do not love my Trumph because I do. Very much. However sometimes he just irks me. The laziness is still a problem one that is very much working my last fucking nerve. However he is working on that. It's not like I'm going to leave him I'm just venting. Y'all seem safe to do that with. Still for the most part Trumph and I are doing good and I am going to get some ass.

I'm cooking this evening, or rather afternoon when I get home. Trumph wants Chicken and Waffles so there ya go. Diner pou ce soir, tres facile. I dunno I need a vacation away from Seattle and I hate to say this but I'd kinda like to go somewhere by myself. Lately I just need some time to just be away for awhile. I'm not bored per se, just starting to feel like I wanna get away. The roving bug has bit me again.

However all in all things are good. I feel good, and Trumph and I are just having one of those patches that you have in relationships. Well that and he needs to start bringing in more money ie getting a job which is really what this is all about. See Trumph is a musician and a damn good one at that. He plays at least one gig a week however, I have told him time and time again he needs as nine to five kinda job. So has his father, mother, etc. Now I wouldn't even complain to much if he was a stay at home husband who kept the house totally clean, dishes washed, dinner ready when I got home but he don't. My baby boy is kinda lazy. So lately I been like look nigga you need to be more diligent on looking for a job. You need to keep this apt in bettah shape. Stop being so lazy. You know nagging at that nigga.
He has even said he will not be so lazy this year and what do I get? A little bit of imporvement but not enough. So you see. And look I don't want to be nagging at him but he is starting to irritate me with it.

I suppose it will all be alright, he is looking though just not hard enough. Should I let up or keep on doing what I'm doing to get him to fly right. I shall see for new we are alright but I just want him to do better. God this is so personal. Still I have been faithful, I do love him, and I am committed to Trumph. He'll get it together, he always does after I give him a swift verbal kick in the pants. It;s just when you're with a man like Trumph it is the motivating them that be difficult. You do not want to wound them, but you can't baby them either.

It must be love.....
Cause why else would I be so patient and so committed. I got a good guy he's just kind of a fixer uper. But I wouldn't trade him and I am now feeling better having vented. Thanks for listening and letting me get this off my chest guyz. We'll be okay I know we will cause I love him and for me yes that is enough.

Well at any rate you guys be good and for those of you with fixer upper males, keep me in your prayers.

Adieu.
